The FCR Carby is a great upgrade, Especially for off road riding.
A few tips.
1. Consider Drilling Holes in your Airbox (Side or int he top) to allow more airflow.
2. Some riders take the spark arrestor mesh out of the air filter - this is at your own risk. Could cause the bike to catch fire. It increases airflow therefore a popular upgrade.
3. Before installing carby check the Accelerator Fuel Pump has free play and works ok (Youtube if you are not familiar with an FCR style carby)
4 Jetting. Always the hard one. Here is our Base used in Victoria.
Pilot Jet: 45 usually or 48
Main jet: 170
Mixture Screw 1 and Half turns out
The Blue Wire can be removed from the CDI at own risk :)
You can force the standard carby boot on, or buy some manifold pipe tubing from the Auto store or buy a honda carby boot as in the pic below.
